There’s good news if you prefer the style of the Eee PC 900′s case to the 901′s. Asus has announced the release of the Eee PC 900A.

It shares the 900‘s chassis but with the new Intel Atom processor used in the 901.

The 900A will be available in familiar black and white, plus funky purple.

It comes with 1GB of RAM and a choice of 8GB or 16GB SSD. With the 4 cell battery it weighs just 0.99kg compared to the 901′s already lightweight 1.1kg.

There’s no Bluetooth, no 802.10 n WLAN, no Windows XP version and the webcam is only 0.3M Pixels, all of which helps keep the price low. Expect it to be around £250 when it hits UK retailers’ shelves.
